HOLY GRAIL PRODUCTS FOR THIS WINTER

Sunday 16 November 2014

Here you have it! After much trying and testing I have found these 'cannot live without' products for during the colder months!

1. The 'Bad gal lash' by Benefit has actually been around for quite a while now, and I must say even when I go out and try new mascaras, I always find myself coming back to this one. The brush is pretty big and so coats all the lashes really well, giving a very volumized lash look.

2.Tweezerman eyelash curlers! These are my all time favourite eye lash curlers, to give those lashes the extra lift they need!

3. As I get highlights and have pretty fine hair anyway, I find that my hair can often feel a bit straw like. But since using Moroccan oil after washing my hair, my locks have gone back to being silky and luscious!

4. Ahh Chanel No.5, this iconic fragrance is great during the winter for a classy and soft scent.

5. Neil's Yard Orange Flower facial oil: I find this is great during the winter particularly if you are prone to getting dry skin. This effectively nourishes and hydrates the skin, whilst balancing out uneven skin tones.

6. Bobbi Brown's pot rouge for lips and cheeks: I loooove this product, above Is the shade 'fresh melon' which I like to place on my cheek bones for a really pretty dewy look. I will be doing a look soon, so you can see clearly what it is like on.

7. Nars Sheer Glow: Look no further for your holy grail foundation because this is it! Perfect for hydrating dry skin and leaving you with a fresh faced dewy finish, without looking oily! Great for those who like a medium to full, yet lightweight coverage.

Change.

Thursday 13 November 2014

"Change" is a word frequently passed around. Unfortunately it's usually referring to something negative, you hear people often say "I don't wan't things to change", and yes a lot of the time when things change it can seem like the end of the world and you cannot imagine how you will ever recover, but once you stop pretending that things will go back to the the way they were, you can start focusing on the way things are going to turn out to be in the future. Like they say "You've got to stick through the rain to find the rainbow".
Change can also be so liberating and make you see things in a whole new light, it can actually enhance your life and make things better in a way you never would have imagined before.

My family has gone through a lot of changes recently, and I'm not going to lie, the world did seem to come crashing down before us, but I do believe that things will get better and that we will all come out of it stronger, it may not happen right away, it may even take a year or two, however life is constantly changing and if it didn't, then the world would be extremely boring! So although this is very hard for myself, as a person who is quite reserved and happy for things to remain familiar and comfortable, I am slowly but surely learning to embrace change, knowing that myself and my family will come out on the other side.

Hold on to those memories you had before, but just remember how many more new ones you are going to make! It may seem bleak now, but keep looking forward and embrace the change!

Autumnal vibes, featuring Lexy

Friday 7 November 2014

So my friend Lexy walked into school this morning looking effortlessly stylish and sporting autumnal fashion perfectly, even her tousled ombre hair matched the falling autumn leaves. And so when I'd finished staring jealously at her outfit, I grabbed hold of her and told her she must feature on here, thankfully she happily agreed.. Because I wasn't going to take no as an answer anyway :)

Who doesn't love the crisp Autumn air and the excuse to wear extremely oversized scarfs without looking stupid! Thanks for being my lovely model lex!

Lexy's outfit: Jeans: Mango, Top: Zara, Scarf: her mums wardrobe lol (but similar can be found in Topshop) , Jacket: H and M and Boots: New Look.

Review on Charlotte Tilbury's Lipstick: K.I.S.S.I.N.G Coachella Coral

Sunday 2 November 2014

With all the hype surrounding Charlotte Tilbury's range of makeup I felt as though I had to take a look myself. After browsing the internet and trying the products out at the counter, I really liked the look of some of the products! So as the line is a little pricey I have decide to  to start my collection off slowly with a lipstick from her K.I.S.S.I.N.G range.

At £23 the lipstick is up there on the scale of high end luxury makeup, but I must say that I feel the price reflects the product as I absolutely love it!
The finish is matte and has a lovley creamy feeling when applied, after testing it out I found that it lasts pretty well too! The colour is a medium coral shade and has an opaque colour coverage.

I'd love to try some more of her products as I really recommend this lipstick especially this colour if you are looking for a fresh pretty look. However if you feel this is a little to pricey I found that MAC's elegant accent is very similar! And a little cheaper!

Let me know if you've tried anything else from Charlotte Tillbury's line!

My Trip to South Africa

Sunday 2 November 2014

A few of months ago I had the most amazing opportunity to travel to South Africa to visit a primary school In Swaziland called Ncemeneni. It was honestly an unforgettable experience, admittedly before going there, I expected South Africa to be a huge dried up waste land within which the primary school would be situated, I really had no idea that visiting the school would effect me the way it did. I honestly believe the experience has changed me for the better, plus South Africa is a beautiful country!

Decided to go for a safari themed outfit, with some Khaki shorts and my ray bands I was ready to face the sweltering South African heat!
